Young Optometrist of the Year
Young Optometrist of the Year
The Pennsylvania Optometric Association “Young Optometrist of the Year” Award recognizes an optometrist in practice less than ten years who demonstrates outstanding leadership skills when serving their profession and the public.
Nominations will be accepted from the POA’s local societies and committees. Nominees will be evaluated according to a point system allocated to two principal areas. In the application below, please describe key accomplishments or special initiatives that can be attributed to the nominee.
Only one nominee per local society will be accepted. Nominations will not be accepted if the required fields are incomplete.
Plaque Order (Optional)
To order a Local Society William Van Essen Award plaque from the POA, click here and follow the instructions. The order form must be sent at least four weeks prior to when the plaque is needed.
